FAQs

How do I login to CPDonline?
Login with your Member Portal email and password.
If you are not a member, contact cpdonline@lawsociety.mb.ca to obtain a registration form. Once your registration has been approved, your login credentials will be emailed to you.

Can I register other people for courses in CPDonline like I do for the live CPD programs?
No. At this time, courses you purchase through CPDonline are assigned to your individual account only.
Please complete and submit an enrollment form to purchase a course for another account.

How can I find courses that interest me?
Courses are organized by category, e.g. Criminal, Family, Well-Being, etc. If there is a particular topic, presentation or presenter you are looking for you can enter this in the ‘Search courses’ tool on the home page. Useful search tips:

  • Enter **EPPM** to find courses that include ethics, professionalism and practice management content
  • Enter **New/Featured** to find new and highlighted courses
  • Enter **Free** to find free courses

Do I have to use PayPal?
Registering online for a course with PayPal will allow you to gain access to the course as soon as payment has gone through, no waiting. A PayPal account is not required, select the option ‘Pay with Credit Card or Visa Debit’.
Alternatively, you may complete an enrollment form – courses will be made available once payment is received.

How long do I have to complete a course?
Once registered, courses are available for 30 calendar days, in order for the CPD hours to be credited the course quiz must be completed within this time frame.

Once I have completed a course on CPDonline do I need to add this course into my CPD Tracker?
No, after a CPDonline course has been successfully completed and Law Society staff verifies this, they will then enter the CPD hours into your tracker (recorded on December 31st of the year that the course is completed). Please note this is done on a periodic basis; allow staff sufficient time to record these hours, especially during peak year end times.
