National Day for Truth and Reconciliation

The Manitoba Bar Association

 

Join the University of Manitoba’s two new Faculty of Law professors Dr. Leo Baskatawang and Dr. Daniel Diamond, along with Marc Kruse, Indigenous Legal Studies Coordinator, for a learning experience, lunch and informal discussion to follow in honour of the second annual National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.  The event will begin with a traditional ceremony.  The speakers will reflect on the progress we have made to date and the work that lies ahead.  You will have an opportunity to ask questions and participate in small group round-table discussions and a special community lunch.  The Law Society of Manitoba, the Faculty of Law and Manitoba Bar Association invite all members of the legal profession and law students to attend in-person or online.

This program offers 1.5 hours of CPD, all of which may be reported as EPPM (Ethics, Professionalism, Practice Management) hours.


Please note that there are limited in-person seats available and food is being ordered for in-person attendees, therefore we require 7 days notice if you are unable to attend in-person.
