Criminal Law Procedure is set out in the Criminal Code but there are Manitoba-specific practices as well. These materials cover the practical basics from arrest to appeals and will be useful to both Crown and defence. There are tips on cross-examination and preparation for court and new expanded material on preparing and using Gladue Reports. A fairly comprehensive list of considerations for sentencing is included as well as comments on the R. v. K.G.K. 2020 SCC 7 decision on verdict deliberation time and delay. The precedents and forms include an updated and detailed interview checklist that can be adapted to your practice.
