When an individual is incapable of making decisions relating to their property and personal care, a committee may be appointed on their behalf under The Mental Health Act. This presentation considers the administrative process for appointing the Public Guardian and Trustee as committee as compared to an application by a private committee. Practical considerations and best practice suggestions are shared.
